Nadia Awad produces, directs, and edits award-winning short nonfiction films and photographs that amplify movements and affect social change. For over a decade, she has focused on the lives and stories of LGBT, HIV-affected, and MENA communities. Her work has been shown on PBS, the Daily Beast, the Advocate, NBC, CNN, and the Washington Post, among many others. A recipient of the Firelight Media Impact Producing Fellowship, the Smack Mellon Studio Residency, the Van Lier Fellowship, and the BRIC Media Arts Fellowship, she is currently based in New York and available for new projects.
